NBAA Open Session on November 18, 2015 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Among the highlights were the presentation of the National Aviation Hall of Fame Combs Gates Award to award-winning film maker Kim Furst. Furst received a check for $20,000 for her film, "Flying the Feathered Edge: The Bob Hoover Project". This was followed by the announcement of the the NAHF Class of 2016, including Robert L. Crippen, George E. "Bud" Day, Christopher C. Kraft, Jr., and Tom Poberezny. Following the presentation of awards, "Miracle on the Hudson" pilot Sully Sullenberger provided the keynote address.
